This has been a bad year for pornography giant, PornHub. In the first half of 2022, many companies cut ties with PornHub, including Mastercard, Visa and all other major credit cards, as well as advertisers Wish, Unilever and Kraft-Heinz. The distribution outlets Roku and Comcast also removed PornHub. Then in September, PornHub was banned from Instagram for going against the platform's community standards.
Last week, YouTube banned PornHub's account from their platform. A few days later, TikTok followed suit, permanently removing the pornography giant. While these accounts didn't share content that met the legal definition of pornography, they did share graphic and explicit content with the intention to direct people to their website.
