Since April, Netflix has been testing the Play Something feature on millions of users. This feature allows users to let Netflix's algorithm automatically pick something to watch based on what is on that user's watchlist.
While this may sound helpful for those who struggle with programming indecision, it may cause problems for families. This feature is also available in kid profiles, and while we would like to think that only content that parents have determined is appropriate for their children would be available, this may not be the case. We encourage you, as a parent, to test this feature on your children's devices and profiles to ensure exclusive consumption of approved media and safety.
