The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) named Visa on their 2022 Dirty Dozen List, a list of mainstream companies that are major facilitators of sexual exploitation in the United States.
Last year, Visa made major strides in the right direction by cutting ties with PornHub. However, since then, Visa resumed a working relationship with MindGeek, the parent company of PornHub, and several other pornography sites without requiring them to implement measures to prevent and remove illegal content. Furthermore, while publicly standing against exploitation, they also authorize transactions soliciting prostitution websites and brothels.
